Springwood and Underwood

Springwood is dense with professional offices along Springwood Road and the Pacific Highway: accountants, finance brokers, medical and allied health practices, car dealership back offices. Underwood has the commercial and retail precincts near the Pacific Motorway, plus a scatter of light industry. Most of these places run A3 or A4 colour multifunctions and workgroup lasers, and the fault most often described to us is the one that happens when a client is standing at the desk.

How we plan a Logan visit

Logan is spread out and the traffic on the Pacific Motorway and the Logan Motorway can turn a short hop into a long one. So the first call matters. We ask the suburb, then the street, then the business hours of the site. We ask whether the machine is on the ground floor, whether there is a loading dock, and who will be there. Two or three minutes of questions save an hour of wasted visit.

If you have several machines in different places, we group them by area where we can. A Springwood practice and a Slacks Creek depot may be best handled on different days. A Browns Plains office and a Meadowbrook clinic may fit into one. We tell you honestly what makes sense.

Government and community offices around Logan Central

Logan Central, Woodridge and Browns Plains carry council services, community organisations, employment and training providers and legal and welfare offices. Many of these run shared machines used by dozens of people a day, often with a swipe card or code at the panel. When a card reader fails or a user code stops working, the fault is often between the panel and the print server. Heavy daily use also wears feed parts quickly, so the rollers on a shared machine go sooner than in a quiet office.

Heat and storms

People who are not used to the machine open the wrong door, force the wrong tray and clear a jam without checking for torn paper. We often leave a short card on the machine showing how to clear the commonest jams, and a note of which tray takes which stock.
