Sharp, second hand
A copier remembers more than most people think: address books, user accounts, jobs held for release. So the first thing we do with a used Sharp is empty it. A refurbished Sharp photocopier in Brisbane suits an office wanting a sturdy, well featured multifunction without the new machine price, and we only sell one that has been wiped properly and returned to a clean state. Each is tested and warranted, then delivered and set up ready to work.
Government agencies, schools, councils, professional firms and retail head offices. Places where the copier is part of the process and stays in service for years. A used Sharp suits an office that wants that sort of dependable workhorse on a modest budget.

Accounts, address books and held jobs live inside the machine. A refurbished one is only worth buying if that has gone. We securely erase the internal drive and return the settings to a clean state before any machine is resold, and we check what is on it before it leaves us.
It matters just as much when you hand yours over. That is part of what we do when we buy used photocopiers.
Two Sharp families turn up in Brisbane offices. The older multifunctions carry MX at the front and the current ones carry BP. Colour or mono is in the letters after: an MX-3071 prints colour, an MX-M3071 is black and white. Bigger numbers mean more speed.
When you ring, read us the whole model name off the label, because options and parts change between series. A photo does the job if reading is awkward.
Stock changes, so phone to confirm.

Offices around Fortitude Valley and Milton, councils and schools right across the region, engineering support offices on the northside and warehouse offices at Acacia Ridge and Archerfield that print dockets and forms. If you are replacing an older Sharp the controls will feel familiar, which makes the changeover easier for staff.
It means serviced, not cleaned. The paper pickup and separation parts in each tray are checked, the fusing unit is inspected, the transfer parts and the drum are examined and any worn part is replaced. Then the machine goes through a full set of print, copy and scan tests and we read its history for any faults it has logged.
We also check the storage, the panel and the sign in functions. A Sharp with a storage or board problem can look fine until it is switched off and on again, so we switch it off and on.
Many Sharps are set up so staff sign in to print, copy and scan. That is useful for tracking use or protecting confidential documents, and it is a common reason for calls when the link to the network breaks.
When we install a used Sharp we set up whatever sign in you use, test it with a real account and write the settings down for your IT contact. If you do not use sign in we leave the machine open and tell you how to turn it on later.
Finishers and large capacity trays are matched to the exact model, so we do not guess. You get a plain statement of what is fitted, whether it works and whether another can be added afterwards.
Colour makes sense for reports and presentations. Mono makes sense for text and forms through the day. Give us your headcount and an idea of the monthly pages and we say which Sharp, if any, is the sensible one.
Put these to any seller. They are easy to put to us.
A machine that has sat in a medical practice or a council section may hold names, addresses and documents nobody intended to keep. Buying a used copier should not mean inheriting someone else's files, and selling yours should not mean giving yours away.
That is why the wipe is not an optional extra on our sales. It happens before the machine is sold, and we say what we did.
Start with how many people use the machine and how many pages go through it in a month. Then colour or mono. A BP-30M suits a small office that wants a compact A3 mono machine, while the faster BP-70C range and the MX-M6071 suit heavy volume and long runs. Quote the model name you are interested in when you ring.
If a Sharp is not the best fit we say so and point at another make.
Not every Sharp is a showpiece. Plenty sit in a records room or beside the filing, printing hundreds of pages a day and expected to do so without a murmur. A mono machine in that position wants a sound paper path, a good fuser and a drum with life in it, and those are the things we look at.
We say how many pages the machine has done and what was changed, and you decide with that in front of you.
Technicians who service a Sharp are certified and experienced, and the price is agreed on the phone before anyone is booked. Same day service is available if something stops.
A warehouse office printing dockets, picking lists and forms has very different needs from a department floor. It wants a machine that starts quickly, takes a lot of paper and keeps going. Mono is usually enough, and a plain, dependable copier does the job. We match the machine to the work, not to the price tag.
We agree a date first. The machine is placed, joined to the network and given its print drivers, and scan to email and scan to folder are configured alongside whoever runs your email and server. A real account is used to test print, copy and scan, the packaging goes with us and the settings are left on paper.
Sharp is one of several makes on our books and we claim no tie to any of them. The others sit on the pages for refurbished Toshiba, refurbished Kyocera, refurbished Canon, refurbished Ricoh and refurbished HP, and the overview is on used and refurbished photocopiers.
Sharps are among the machines we buy. Used photocopiers, Sharp included, are valued over the phone and collected, and the drive is erased. See selling your photocopier and photocopier trade in. Lease, rental, hire and finance can be arranged if you would rather not pay up front, and there are no prices on the website.
Service stays with the technicians who prepared the machine, at your premises. On Sharp photocopier repairs you can read about MX and BP faults and how a Sharp code is read. Our own work is warranted, and so is every machine we sell.
A refurbished Sharp comes to you wherever you are in Brisbane, and as far as Toowoomba, Ipswich, Redcliffe, Caboolture, the Redlands, Bribie Island and the edge of the Gold Coast. Ring (07) 3073 5255 or use the contact page to check.
Light and drums
Open the back door of a Queenslander turned office on a bright January afternoon and the sun runs straight down the hallway. A copier drum left on a desk in that light is already losing life. Nobody sees it happen. The pages look fine until grey bands show up a week later, and the invoice for a second drum comes with them.
Ours stay wrapped and out of the light from the van to the machine and back. A small habit with a large saving.
