Photocopier Buyers in Brisbane: We Buy Used Photocopiers

Somebody has to buy the old copier, and most offices find that nobody wants to. The usual outcome is a machine in the store room for six years. We are photocopier buyers in Brisbane, and the stock we want is used commercial equipment: photocopiers, multifunction machines and office printers. A price is settled on the phone, the machine is collected, and the drive is wiped. One machine or a whole fleet, it works the same way. Ring (07) 3073 5255 with the make and model.

LASER PRINTERS BRISBANE

Brisbane printer service and photocopier repairs, plus machine sales

Why a service business buys used machines

Buying used machines makes sense for us because we recondition the good ones and strip the rest for parts. A copier that is clutter to you is stock to us. Sellers include offices, practices, schools, councils and any business that owns a commercial machine outright.

We are not a recycler that takes anything and then charges you to dispose of it. And we are not a stranger who turns up with a trailer and a hopeful number. We repair these machines every week, so we know what is inside them and what that is worth.

Who sells to us

Mostly the same few situations come round again and again.

  • Offices upgrading and wanting the old machine gone.
  • Businesses that are closing, merging or moving.
  • Practices and schools standardising on a single brand.
  • A company whose lease has ended and which now owns the machine.
  • A commercial copier sitting unused in somebody's cupboard.

One machine or twenty, the process is the same.

What we buy

Photocopiers and multifunction devices from offices, colour or mono. Commercial laser printers for the workplace. A3 and A4 machines, with or without finishers and extra trays. The usual commercial makes are all welcome, among them Toshiba, Kyocera, Canon, Ricoh, HP and Fujifilm.

Working machines in good order fetch the best figure. An older or faulty unit may still be worth something as parts or for reconditioning, so ring regardless. Small home inkjets are not on our list.

We buy used photocopiers: four steps

Quick enough that most machines are sorted on one call and one visit.

Describe the machineGive us the make and model, roughly how old it is, and the meter count if you can find it. Photos of the front and of the label are a help.

How we put a value on it

The make and model set the starting point, and the age, the meter reading and the general condition move it up or down. A newish colour A3 multifunction from a leading make is worth more than a mono unit whose model was discontinued years ago. A machine that still has its finisher, feeder and trays beats a stripped one.

Send the model, the meter reading and a photo and we can say a lot during the call. Sometimes we need to see the machine, and then we say so. We do not make up a number to be polite.

Sell printer Brisbane: laser and office printers

Commercial printers count as well as copiers. If you want to sell a printer in Brisbane and it came from an office, a workgroup or a department, describe it to us. Anything with a document feeder and finishing gets more attention than a plain desktop unit, but we will discuss any commercial machine. The one exception is the home inkjet, and you will hear that early in the call.

Have these ready when you ring

You will not need all of it.

  • Make and model, which are on the badge at the front or a label inside a door.
  • The meter reading, or a rough sense of its years in service.
  • Whether it works, and any faults you know about.
  • What comes with it: finisher, second tray, stand, document feeder.
  • Where it is, including floor, lift and stairs.

If you cannot find some of it, ring anyway.

Your data

Modern copiers keep copies, scans and print jobs on an internal drive. We securely erase that drive before any machine is resold or reconditioned, so none of your business information goes out the door with it.

Fleets, closures and clear outs

Closing, merging or standardising offices tend to hold a mixed bag of copiers and printers. We can look over the whole group and arrange one collection. A shutdown is among the simpler jobs, because the date is fixed and the paperwork is short.

What happens to the machines

A good machine is inspected, serviced, given fresh parts where they are worn, tested and sold on as reconditioned or used. One that is beyond that goes for parts and keeps other copiers running. Nothing is dumped.

Questions people ask first

The five that come up on nearly every call.

  • Will you pay for a copier that is a few years old? Often. Make, model, meter reading and condition matter more than age alone.
  • Do I have to deliver it? No. We collect.
  • Do I need the paperwork? It helps, but we can often work from the model and the meter reading.
  • What if it is on a lease? We can only buy what you own, so check the agreement first.
  • What if the model is a mystery? Send a picture of the machine's front panel and of the sticker inside its door.

Where the good ones come from

The best resale machines are not always the newest. A mid range Kyocera or Toshiba from an office with decent air conditioning and a tidy paper store, three or four years old and looked after, beats a younger machine that lived in a dusty site shed. We see the difference on the bench at once. So do not write yours off for being old, or count on it being valuable for being big.

The service record helps. If you have invoices or a service history, mention it. If you have not, the model and the meter reading usually let us say plenty.

Why people hold on to dead copiers

Three reasons come up when a dead copier stays put. Nobody knows who owns it because the lease paperwork sits in somebody's old email. Nobody wants to lift it. Nobody is sure about the data. Reading the agreement fixes the first, a call to us fixes the second, and the wiped drive means no data leaves, which fixes the third.

That leaves a store room with one fewer heavy machine in it, which is its own reward.

If you are moving the machine, not selling it

Some offices want the machine to go with them to a new address. That is a relocation, not a sale, and it has its own page. We also take trade ins if you are replacing a machine and want its value off the next one.

Where we collect

Collections cover greater Brisbane and the corridors around it: Ipswich, the Scenic Rim edge, Redcliffe, Caboolture, Bribie Island, the Redlands and Toowoomba. Phone (07) 3073 5255 with the make and model, or go through the contact page. Lines that are busy get the call logged and returned.

Parts on the van

The right part has to be in the van

Anything not carried is ordered once the cause is confirmed, not before. Ordering on a hunch fills a shelf with parts that fixed nothing.

Because we also buy and sell machines we see which parts fail early on which models, and that shapes what rides in the van.

Questions people ask us on the phone

Who are the photocopier buyers in Brisbane?

That is us. Photocopiers and multifunction machines used in business, plus office printers, are what we buy.

Do you really buy used photocopiers that are a few years old?

Often. The make, model, meter reading and condition matter more than the age alone.

How do I find out what mine is worth?

Send the make, model and a photo, plus the meter reading if you have it. A figure is agreed with you on the phone.

Do you collect?

Yes, at a time that suits you. You do not need to move a heavy machine yourself.

Will you wipe the data off it?

Yes. The internal drive is securely wiped before a machine is resold, reconditioned or recycled.

Will you take a machine that does not work?

Sometimes. Parts alone can carry some value. Describe what you have and we will give you a straight answer.

Can I sell a printer to you?

If it is a commercial laser printer or multifunction machine, yes. We do not buy small home inkjets.

Can you buy a machine that is on a lease?

Only one you own outright. Where a finance company holds title, speak to them first.
