Refurbished Konica Minolta Photocopiers for Sale in Brisbane

On delivery day we put a colour test page from our workshop next to one printed in your office. If the two do not match, we say so before we leave. That is how we sell a refurbished Konica Minolta photocopier in Brisbane. The bizhub range is built around colour, and a used bizhub is a sharp answer for an office that wants strong colour without the new machine price. Each is inspected, serviced, tested and warranted, and delivered and set up ready to work.

Why people choose a bizhub

Offices that print proposals, brochures, presentations and reports in colour tend to notice what the machine does with a gradient or a logo. A used Konica Minolta photocopier keeps that strength at a used machine price.

Design studios, agencies, schools, property firms and professional offices pick them because the print has to look right. The flip side is plain. Colour machines have more parts to wear and more settings that can drift, so a bizhub tested and serviced is worth far more than one dusted off and resold.

How we check the colour

On the bench, in this order.

  • Follow the paper through each tray's pickup and feed parts, then the document feeder and the fuser.
  • Look at the transfer belt and each imaging unit, and the developer for every colour.
  • Run the machine's calibration.
  • Print test pages and look at each colour on its own for banding, weak output or a cast.
  • Check the finisher if there is one, the panel, the network functions and the code history.

Konica Minolta codes are letters and digits that point to an area of the machine. We read what has been logged. A bizhub that passes has been used the way an office would use it, not switched on and printed once.

Two pages, one on the bench and one in your office

The workshop page is printed before the machine leaves us. On delivery we level the machine, connect it, and print the same test beside it. Colour that matches means the day went well.

Next come scan to email and scan to folder, and a quick tour of the panel for the main users. Your IT contact should be reachable on the day, and we tell you in advance what we need from them.

Which office picks a bizhub

Around Fortitude Valley and Newstead it is design studios and agencies. In the CBD and Milton, property and professional offices. Schools that make their own newsletters and certificates, and mixed offices on the northside at Chermside and Northgate that need one shared machine to do everything.

Three offices, three sizes

Five to ten people printing mostly text will be happy with a compact A3 colour bizhub.

A school administration block that makes newsletters, certificates and timetables needs a machine that copes with card and with a heavier month at the end of term.

A print room producing proofs and presentation sets needs more speed and a finisher.

Numbers help. Without them, bring a few examples of what you print. We say what we would pick, and when a used machine is the wrong answer we say that too.

Scan to email, and the mail system you changed

Mail systems are changing the rules about which devices may send. Scan to email on a bizhub is worth care for that reason. We set it up with whoever manages your email and test it from the machine before we go.

A replacement for an older machine is easier. We carry across the address book and the scan destinations, so staff find what they expect.

Thinking of swapping the machine? We buy, sell and lease as well as repair. Say what the office prints and we ring back.

Finishers and options

Stapling and punching come from a finisher, and folding from a booklet finisher. What fits changes from model to model, so we check that a finisher suits the bizhub and works before it is sold.

We also say which options can be added later and which cannot. If you want one that a model does not offer, we tell you on the call.

Keeping colour good after the sale

A refurbished colour machine is only as good as its colour on the day it arrives and in the months afterwards. Store paper sealed and flat. Keep the machine out of direct sun and clear of an open door. Run the calibration when the panel suggests it.

We show the main users where those settings live. If one colour is weak on a test page we say which, and what the repair involves.

Ask before you buy any used Konica Minolta

Whoever is selling, put these to them.

  • Which bizhub is it, and how many pages has it done?
  • What was replaced, and how do the colours look on a test page?
  • Are the finisher and any extra drawers fitted, and have they been tested?
  • Is delivery included, with network setup and scan to email?
  • What cover applies, now that the machine is warranted?

Second hand Konica Minolta copier, or another make

A bizhub is the colour choice, though not the only one, and we sell the others too. They are on the pages for refurbished Toshiba, refurbished Kyocera, refurbished Canon, refurbished Ricoh and refurbished HP. The page on used and refurbished photocopiers explains used, refurbished, reconditioned and ex demo in plain terms.

When the bizhub you have is the problem

A bizhub you are retiring may still be worth money. We buy used photocopiers, name a figure by phone, collect the machine and clear the drive, and the amount can be put toward the next one. Details are at selling your photocopier and photocopier trade in.

Outright purchase is optional. Lease, rental, hire and finance are all arranged, with the same technicians doing the servicing and no prices published on the site.

What calibration is, and why it matters

Colour copiers drift. Heat, humidity and months of work move the balance of the colours a little at a time, so that skin tones turn warm or a company blue goes slightly green. Calibration brings the machine back to its reference. We run it before sale and compare a test page against what the machine should produce.

Brisbane is a humid city, which makes the habit more useful here than in a dry climate. We tell the main users where the setting lives so they can run it when the panel suggests.

A print room

Print rooms producing proofs and presentation sets are the most demanding buyers of a bizhub. They want pace, a finisher that stays reliable and colour that does not wander between page one and page two hundred. We check all three and say honestly when the size of the job points to a different machine.

Service afterwards, and the part on the van

Servicing is done at your premises by people who have handled the machine on our bench. Konica Minolta photocopier repairs describes what we meet on bizhubs and how a C code is read. Both the machines and our work are warranted.

Because we buy and sell machines we see which parts fail early on which models, and that decides what rides in the van.

Reading colour on a test page

Standing at the machine with a test page in your hand, these are the things worth looking for.

  • Banding: faint stripes running across the sheet in a solid colour.
  • A cast: the whole page leaning warm, cool or green.
  • A weak colour: one of the four looking thin next to the others.
  • Registration: colours that no longer line up, leaving soft or fringed edges on small text.
  • Marks that repeat at the same spot down the page.

We look for all five before a bizhub is sold, and we show you the page. If one shows up we say what is behind it.

When a mono machine would do

A colour bizhub in an office that only prints black text is paying for capability it does not use. If your work is mostly forms and letters, a mono machine may serve you better and cost less to keep. We say so when it is true. The colour range earns its place where colour is part of the job.

How far we go

Delivery of a refurbished bizhub covers the whole of Brisbane. It also reaches Ipswich in the west, Toowoomba, the Moreton Bay and Caboolture side in the north, Redlands and Bribie Island, and down towards the Gold Coast. Phone (07) 3073 5255 with your address, or use the contact page.

Parts on the van

The right part has to be in the van

Anything not carried is ordered once the cause is confirmed, not before. Ordering on a hunch fills a shelf with parts that fixed nothing.

Because we also buy and sell machines we see which parts fail early on which models, and that shapes what rides in the van.

  • Common spares carried. Most jobs finish without a wait.
  • Ordered on proof. Not on a hunch.
  • Fitted once. And warranted.

Questions people ask us on the phone

Do you keep used bizhubs on the floor?

Usually some. Stock changes, so ring with what you print and we say what is there.

Is the colour as good as new?

We run calibration and check every colour on its own before sale. Where one is weak, we replace the part and tell you what we found.

Can you match a test page on delivery?

Yes. We print one in the workshop and one in your office and compare them side by side.

Will scan to email work with our mail system?

We set it up with whoever manages your email and test it before we leave.

Will you repair a bizhub we already own?

Yes. Give us the model and the symptom.

Does my old Konica Minolta have a value?

It may. Tell us the model and we say whether we would buy it.

Do you sell inkjets for the home?

No. Our sales are commercial machines for businesses.

How do I get a price on a bizhub?

Ring (07) 3073 5255 or write via the contact page with what you print and how many use the machine. We ring back with a figure.
