Springfield is the same, growing at a rate that surprises even people who live in it. A copier in a new building at Springfield Central is not the same job as a copier in a heritage building on Brisbane Street, and we plan accordingly.

Heritage buildings in Ipswich

Ipswich has a lot of old buildings. Stone, timber, high ceilings and narrow stairs. A copier carried up to a first floor suite decades ago may need to come down the same stairs or not at all. Floors vary, power points are in odd places and some suites have a single circuit for everything. Schools, clinics and the council

Schools along the corridor run steady volumes and a rush at the start and end of each term. Springfield: new buildings, new problems

Springfield has grown fast and the offices in it are mostly modern: glass fronted suites, business park units, schools and clinics built in the last twenty years. The machines are newer too, with touch panels and cloud connected features. That does not make them trouble free. Newer machines tend to throw more network and sign in faults than old ones, because there is more to go wrong between the panel and the mail server.

A common call from a Springfield office: a scan that stopped after a policy change on the mail system, or a printer that vanished from the network after a router swap. Booval, Bundamba and the shops between
