Moreton Bay north
Half the calls we take from North Lakes are not about a broken part. They are about a setting: a scan to email that never worked, a driver on four computers out of nine, a tray told it holds the wrong paper. Printer service in North Lakes and Strathpine, out to Petrie, Kallangur and Albany Creek, is done at your premises by a trained, experienced and certified technician. Same day service is available, and the price is agreed on the phone before anyone is booked.
Machines in this district are mostly young. A medical suite or finance office moves into a new building, somebody connects the copier in an afternoon, and nobody opens the settings again for three years. Then the mail system changes, or a new starter arrives with a laptop that has never seen the print server, and the copier gets the blame.
So when you ring, we ask what changed. A password, a router, a move of furniture. It is the quickest question we have and it sorts out a fair share of jobs before a van is loaded.
The mechanical side still wears. Feed rollers go smooth and start picking two sheets at once, fusers leave toner that rubs off under a thumb, and a machine in a workshop front office collects dust in places dust should not reach. Repair is done on site, with the common spares on the van, and 98% of repairs are fixed on the first visit.

The Bruce Highway runs through the middle. North Lakes and Mango Hill sit on the bay side of it, with the shopping and business hub that gave the area its reputation. Strathpine, Lawnton and Petrie follow the Pine River on the other side, older in feel, with the council offices at Strathpine and a university campus at Petrie.
That split matters for us only in the plain way: it decides which way a van heads and when. Gympie Road and the highway fill up at school and commuter times, so a call before the middle of the morning gives us room to plan. Several machines in the district on the one day? Say so, and we group them into a single visit with one price on the phone.
Phone with your suburb if it is not listed here. The district keeps growing and we would rather confirm than guess.
| Where | What tends to come off the printer | What we plan around |
|---|---|---|
| North Lakes, Mango Hill | Retail head office paperwork, real estate, finance, medical and allied health | New buildings, shared floors, visitor parking |
| Strathpine, Lawnton | Council and government forms, legal and accounting files, medical letters | A mix of older premises and new shared suites |
| Petrie, Dakabin | Education, trade, retail and community office work | Campus and business park sites with their own rules |
| Kallangur, Murrumba Downs, Griffin | Trade and small business, school and practice paperwork | Light industrial units, small tenancies |
| Albany Creek, Eatons Hill, Bray Park | Practice, school and community printing, the odd home business | Residential streets, one machine to a site |
Offices near Strathpine and Petrie print forms, notices, records and reports on a rhythm set by the working day, and many of them have firm rules about who connects what to a network. We ask first. Nothing of ours goes into your network without somebody telling us it is allowed.
Schools and early learning centres through the district run steadily all term, with a rush at the start and the end of each one. A fault on the first morning is a different problem from a fault in week six, and we plan accordingly.
Trade businesses, small manufacturers, distributors and workshops fill the estates. What they print is job sheets, quotes, delivery dockets, safety records and labels, on machines that live in front offices with heat, dust and boots coming through the door.
Give us the site hours and say whether there is an induction. Shifts can be worked around where it is practical, and we are straight on the phone about what cannot. Zebra and other commercial label printers are routine work, not an exception.
A practice machine holds records. Before a part is changed we explain what the machine stores, and we work around reception and your appointment book where we can. A jam at the front counter is seen by every patient in the waiting room, so we keep it short and tidy.
Paperwork stays in the building. Nothing leaves reception with us.
A minute of preparation makes the call faster for both of us.
Lines busy when you ring? Your call is logged and returned by someone who has read the message first.
Ahead of the first big print run we inspect the paper path, trays and feed rollers, set the paper sizes, and try scanning to email and to a folder from an ordinary desktop. Every computer gets a test page. The settings stay behind on paper, so nobody inherits a guessing game.
A machine carried over from another office also gets its alignment and contacts checked, since a move is when hidden faults surface. Where it was bought makes no difference to us. If a growing business splits across two buildings, photocopier relocation is part of what we do.
The newer the office, the newer the fleet: Toshiba e-STUDIO AC models, Kyocera TASKalfa and ECOSYS, Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE, Ricoh IM C, Konica Minolta bizhub and Sharp, with HP and Brother workgroup printers beside them, and plotters and Zebra label printers at the industrial end. All of it gets repaired, and we have no connection to any maker.
New tenancy, new machine? We supply new photocopiers, A3 photocopiers and refurbished ones. Whatever we sell is warranted, and what that covers is spelled out before you commit.
Age alone does not settle repair against replace. We give you the repair figure, a view on how long the machine should last afterwards, and an honest word on whether a new one would be wiser. That advice comes first, and sales come second.
Growing firms sometimes want to spread the cost, and lease, rental and finance are arranged with terms talked through by phone. An old machine with value left can be sold to us, and we collect it.
Not every fault up here is a worn part, and the list below is roughly the order we meet them in.
That last one is a regular. A storm can knock the power out for a few seconds, and a copier that was mid job often comes back sulking. Tell us what it is doing now and we talk it through. Often a proper restart and a look at the paper path is all it needs, and when it is not, we say so.
New buildings bring their own small snags. A suite on a shared floor, a lift that has to be booked, a car park where the visitor bays are a walk from the door. Tell us the floor, the suite number and who will meet us, and the technician arrives knowing where to go and carrying the right tools for the machine.
For offices in older premises at Strathpine and Lawnton the problem is different: a copier in a back room with a narrow door, or one wedged beside the stationery cupboard. Tell us if access is tight and we plan for it.
Read us the make, the model and the symptom. We tell you what that symptom usually means and what putting it right costs, and the price is fixed on that call with nothing locked in. Cover off and a surprise underneath? We ring before going on.
Belts and rollers
The transfer belt looks like black plastic film and behaves like a pane of glass. One crease or one print of skin oil and every page carries a faint repeating mark that nobody can explain until the belt comes out again.
Rollers get the same care: wiped with the right cloth, fitted square, turned by hand before power goes on. Customers notice the tidiness before they notice the fix.

Same day service is available. Ring in the morning with your suburb, the make and the symptom and we say what we can arrange.
Yes. The machine settings and the network side both get a look, and a real computer proves the fix before we pack up.
No. Repairs, servicing and setups happen where the machine stands, and nothing is posted away.
Not at all. Mention the sign in routine, network rules and quiet hours and the visit is planned around them.
Yes, lease, rental and finance are all available, and the terms are discussed on the phone.
Yes, they are normal work. We start from your site hours.
The figure is set on the phone. A different fault found on site means a call to you before anything extra is touched.
