Inner south service
Two hospitals, a stadium, a cultural precinct and a lot of apartment lobbies, all within a few kilometres of the river. Printer service in South Brisbane and Woolloongabba means fitting a repair into buildings with a lot of rules and very little patience for a stopped copier. We service West End, Kangaroo Point, Dutton Park and the streets between as well. Same day service is available, and the price is agreed on the phone before anyone is booked.
The inner south does not behave like one suburb. The offices along Stanley Street and Ipswich Road behave differently from the ones off Boundary Street, and both are nothing like a body corporate desk in a Kangaroo Point tower. We start every call by asking about the building.
| Area | Who we tend to find there | The practical bit |
|---|---|---|
| South Bank and the cultural precinct | Arts and education administration, event teams, professional firms in the bigger buildings | Reception, visitor passes, lifts that need booking |
| West End, Boundary Street and Montague Road | Architects, designers, migration and legal practices, community groups | Upstairs suites, narrow stairs, a machine wherever there was space |
| Woolloongabba, Logan Road and Stanley Street | Allied health, trades suppliers, small accountancies, event day offices | Busy street frontage, shared entrances, parking that depends on the match calendar |
| Kangaroo Point and Highgate Hill | Body corporate offices, home based practices, small consultancies | Managed buildings, lift protection, contractor notice |
| Dutton Park and the Ipswich Road fringe | Research and health administration, clinics, services to the hospital | Privacy around records, quiet hours |
A street that is not on that list is still probably in reach. Ring and we will say.

The Mater at South Brisbane and the Princess Alexandra at Woolloongabba each draw a ring of consulting suites, pathology and imaging collection points, physios, psychologists and the admin offices that keep them going. The copier in one of those rooms prints referrals, consent forms and results letters before the first appointment, and a failure at eight in the morning shows at the front desk within minutes.
Most of those machines are A3 colour multifunctions with scan to email, and most of the calls start with a scan that stopped arriving. It is usually settings: a mail password someone changed, a server renamed over a weekend. We check the machine, then tell your IT contact what it is trying to reach.
A copier holds recent jobs on its drive and a technician works within earshot of the waiting room. We keep out of the way, we keep quiet, and we treat your documents as yours. If your practice has specific rules, say so when you ring.
The Gabba is on Vulture Street, and when it fills, the whole of Woolloongabba feels it. Accreditation, rosters, supplier orders, run sheets and ticketing exceptions all have to be printed in a rush by offices that were quiet the day before. Machines used like that get uneven wear: asleep for a month, then flat out over a weekend.
We would sooner see it before the event than after. A short visit with a clean, a look at the rollers and the fuser, and a note of what is likely to go next costs far less than a call at seven on a Saturday morning with a crowd due. We cannot promise a time on the day, but we can say honestly what is possible.
Kangaroo Point, South Brisbane and the river's edge have a lot of apartment buildings, and many have a body corporate or building manager's office with a copier. It prints minutes, levy notices, by laws and the hundred letters before an annual meeting.
Managed buildings have rules for contractors: which lift, which hours, who needs to be told. Tell us who to ask for at the desk. A machine in a back office behind a locked door needs someone to open it, and it saves everybody time if that person knows we are coming.
Wi-Fi and the network are another repeated source of calls here. A building that changes its internet provider changes the address the printer used to have, and a driver stops finding it. That is a ten minute fix when we know it happened, and a long phone call when nobody remembers.
West End and the older streets of Woolloongabba have small firms above and behind the shops. Steep stairs, old floors, a copier in the corner with its side panels against a wall. A floor standing machine in that position is hard to service, and sometimes the simplest repair is moving it a metre.
Design and architecture offices often run a plotter beside the copier, and we service those where they sit. Tell us the roll width and what the print looks like, banded, streaked or skewed, and we arrive with the right parts in mind.
Toshiba, Kyocera, Canon, Ricoh, Konica Minolta and Sharp make up most of the fleets. We are an independent service business, so our advice on repair or replace is our own. If one machine needs a second big part in a year, we will say replacement is worth thinking about, and we can supply another, warranted.
Some of our South Brisbane customers sit right on the edge of the central business district and have the lifts and lobby rules of a tower. For those, ring with the building name and we plan it like a city floor. Everyone else, the usual way: make, model, what the panel says, and the nearest cross street.
Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE machines are everywhere in the professional suites, often installed under a managed contract by somebody who has since moved on. Toshiba e-STUDIO and Kyocera TASKalfa run the larger offices and the body corporates. Ricoh and Konica Minolta bizhub show up in design studios and a few of the older firms, and Sharp in education offices. We service all of them and we are independent of every maker.
Small practices and studios run HP, Brother or Epson workgroup printers. We will repair those if you ring. We do not go looking for that work, and we will tell you straight if a machine at that level is cheaper to replace than to fix.
Brisbane's summer shows up in paper long before it shows up in electronics. A tray left open on a copier in a West End studio takes on moisture within days, and the first sign is a jam at the registration roller or a page that comes out wavy. Closing the tray, storing paper in its wrapper and keeping the reams off the floor will cure more calls than any part we fit.
Storm season has its own habits. A brownout or a surge can leave a copier confused on restart, with a code that clears when it is switched off and on again, and comes back a week later. If it does come back, ring us, because a repeat code is the machine telling you where to look.
The make and model, from the label on the front or inside a door. What the display says, word for word. The building, the level and whether there is a lift. And anything that changed lately, a new router, a new mail system, a move. Often that last piece points at the cause. If the lines are busy the call is logged and returned, and the person who rings back has read your message.
Belts and rollers
The transfer belt looks like black plastic film and behaves like a pane of glass. One crease or one print of skin oil and every page carries a faint repeating mark that nobody can explain until the belt comes out again.
Rollers get the same care: wiped with the right cloth, fitted square, turned by hand before power goes on. Customers notice the tidiness before they notice the fix.

Yes. We work around reception and patients and keep out of the way. Tell us the quiet times.
Often not the machine. A changed mail password or server name is the usual cause. We check both sides and tell your IT contact what to change.
Yes, on site. Tell us the model and whether the print bands, streaks or skews.
Tell us who to ask for at the desk and whether the building manager wants notice. We plan the visit around that.
Same day service is available. Ring early with the building and the fault. A check before the event is better.
Not a problem, but tell us. We plan for floor standing machines in awkward spots and tell you if moving it is the sensible fix.
